NUSP Tuition Monitor Bulletin

The following is the initial list of schools that will increase their tuition in Academic Year 20011-2012 based from the reports that the NUSP, through its Tuition Monitor Campaign, has received.
Ilocos
- Divine Word College
- Saint Louis College
Baguio-Benguet
- Easter College : 10% tuition fee increase
- STI College: 5% tuition fee increase
- Cordillera Career and Development College: 6.67% tuition fee increase
- University of the Cordilleras (Baguio Colleges Foundation): 5% increase in all fees except LIMAD Fee
- Pines City College: 10% tuition fee increase
- Cordillera A+ Computers College (in Kalinga)
- Baguio Central University : 12% tuition fee increase
- Saint Louis University: 5% tuition fee increase to incoming freshem, 5% miscellaneous fees increase at all levels
Central Luzon
Pangasinan
- Pangasinan State University: 16% tuition increase (from P150 per unit to P175 per unit)
Pampangga
- Don Honorio Ventura State University: 30% tuition increase (from P130 per unit to P170 per unit)
- Systems Plus College
- Holy Angel University
National Capital Region
- Technological Institute of the Philippines: 9.6%
- Ateneo de Manila University: 5%
- Miriam College: 5%
- University of the East: 5%
- University of Santo Tomas: 6%
- Far Eastern University: 4.5%
- Trinity University of Asia
- College of St. Benilde
- Lyceum University
- St Scholasticas College
- Eulogio Amang Rodriguez Institute for Science and Technology: additional miscellaneous fees (P500 development fee, P500 laboratory fee, P500 hands-on fee)
Visayas
Western Visayas
- 19 schools in Western Visayas, 8 schools in Iloilo City
Bacolod
- University of St. La Salle: 5% to all colleges except nursing
College of nursing: 4% tuition increase and 5% miscellaneous/ developmental fee increase
- Riverside College: P30,000 ‘Other Fees’
- UNORBacolod : 14% tuition and Other Fee Increase
Mindanao
Cagayan
- Ateneo de Cagayan (5%)
CARAGA
- Fr. Saturnino Urios University- 10% per unit (P445 per unit to P479 per unit)
Davao
- Ateneo de Davao: 6.99% tuition increase
- University of Mindanao: 8.2% tuition increase
- Holy Cross of Davao College: 9.99% tuition increase
- University of the Philippines- Mindanao: PE fee (from 0 to P250)
We are expecting more reports of tuition hike proposals this coming week as the deadline for consultations is set on February 28.

also in Cagayan de Oro College-Phinma will increase its Tuition to 4 percent(4%)….
Really? I did not know that Cagayan de Oro College-Phinma increased their tuition too. Well, I hope they will maintain the tuition at La Salle Universities ‘coz every cents counts for me. Thanks for the information mate.

Central Luzon State University- 10 percent tuition hike
So if Cagayan De Oro Phinma increased its tuition that means all of the other Universities with in PHINMA have increased as well or just you guys only??
there increasing tuition fees without explaining to the students whats there main reason for such increase. just like in the University of Mindanao, were paying for fees for facilities we can’t use…

Default Bracket this year – “A” (1,000 per unit)
Last years default bracket – “B” (600 per unit)
Please be specific about the amount of tuition fee per unit per school. That would be very beneficial to us than mere percent increase. Thanks.
Universidad de Sta. Isabel of Naga City proposed for an increase tuition fee about 10%.
