PUP students decry campus militarization in the guise of disaster preparedness

The National Union of Students of the Philippines (NUSP), the Office of the Student Regent (OSR) of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP), Sentral na Konseho ng Mag-aaral (SKM), Sandigan ng Mag-aaral para sa Sambayanan (SAMASA) and other youth groups highly condemn the presence of military elements inside the PUP campus. PUP admin told on 1,600% tuition & school fees hikes: Do not pass the burden of K to 12 and inadequate budget to the students

Students denounced Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) President Emmanuel De Guzman’s denial of a 1,600% tuition and other fees hikes in PUP as “lying between his teeth.” The students also reiterated their opposition to the K to 12 Program as it is the main reason, apart from the low budgetary allocation by the government, for the tuition and other school fees increases in PUP’s senior high school (SHS) program. De Guzman, is once again attempting a tuition and other school fees increase and imposition.
